Emek Hefer, Online
Im Shira, an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) who received my Masters degree in Social Work in 2013 (NYU Silver School of Social Work).
I have worked with children, teens, and adults in a variety of settings, including community centers, outpatient service clinics, and healthcare settings. Upon graduation in 2013, I moved to North Carolina, where I worked mainly with adults and older adults dealing with depression, anxiety, and adjustment difficulties.
Several years ago I returned to Israel, working with people with various issues, including life transitions, adjustment to change, grief, caregiving, and immigration. I believe the basis for the therapeutic process is the human connection that is created.
This relationship develops in the shared space and time through an open conversation that allows a deep observation of the challenging issues of everyday life. Together we could identify what serves you, what barriers may get in the way, and find ways to better cope with change and hardship.
Therapy is provided at my pleasant private practice in Emek Hefer (Hofit) or online, in English or Hebrew.
